A BRAND, YCONE
The brand was born in 2005, created by Christophe Podevin. With goals of quality, of design and of style, the brand started to be famous in bikeworld with its orange and black colors.
Thorough the years, many partnerships existed. In particular with women cycling team (UCI Team Pro Genevois, UCI Team Pruneaux d'Agen, etc), some international mountain bike team (UCI Team GT Skoda Chamonix, Team Forestiere), some major events of the international woman cycling calendar (remember Ladies Berry Classics). Many top ambassadors weared the YCONE garments : Florian Schaeffer (many times World Champion in Half Iron Man and aquathlon), the Claude brothers (one of them junior World Champion in biathlon nordinc skiing), Patrice Halgand (Tour de France stage winner), Maurice Manificat (athlete at the Olympic Games in nordic skiing) and even Sylvain Barrier (many times motorbikes World Champion ). YCONE was also a close partner of La Forestiere for 10 years.
Doing design, development and manufacture of its collections, but also of teams collections, Christophe Podevin created in 2013 a manufacture of sportswear in France, including style studies, pattern development, graphics design, prototyping, sublilmation, fabrics cut services and sewing workshop, and directed it up to 2018. That was a fabulous adventure started from scratch, runned with a nice team of talented peoples and sewers, but the workshop has to be sold to enable its development, currently managed by the Boldoduc Group and dedicated to lanyard bags, archery tee-shirts and garments for old and dependant people. The years between 2012 and 2018 were fully dedicated to this true challenge, made of fantastic productions for many other brands, some of them quite famous like Rossignol, Mavic, Picture Organic Clothing, but also made of some financial difficulties to grow. Able to develop inovative products, and to manufacture small and medium series, the development of this made in France workshop meant a significative slow down of the development the brand YCONE followed up to 2012.
Nowadays, YCONE is in stand-by, and do not commercialize any product in 2020.

YCONE has no more commercial activities currently, and no collection has been developped for this year 2020. So this is not currently possible to purchase any YCONE sportswear online.

YCONE doesn't provide anymore service of customized bikewear. You can nevertheless contact us in order to be linked with other manufacturer and reliables productions.

The situation is open, but as far as perspectives known today, there is no plan to start again at short term.

Yes, every YCONE sportswear has been manufactured in France between 2013 and 2019. Before that, they were used to be manufactured in Italy (90%) and in Portugal (10%).
There are maybe still some units riding in Europe, from the 2007-2010 productions. Those quality bikes were built in Italy. But only one hundred of them were sold. YCONE was fastly focused on sportswear exclusively.
